Oh Dear

I keep doing it....
This time the absence is only explained by laziness and the usual work but also add to the mix a computer thats really P*s*ing me off! I have to phone the people I bought it from because again its broken. This time, you can only use the b and n and space keys by propping t he front of the computer up and bashing the heck out of them. That makes life quite difficult so I just tend to not bother.

Moaning aside tho, my days off have been spent very happily knitting :D This is not just any kitting, this is knitting that I WANT to do. I've made myself a pair of socks, armwarmers, a beret and a hat, all matching. Also a beret and started a scarf in a multi coloured mad yarn which I love, I made an Alan Dart Yuletide gnome (pattern off Muriel at work) I'm knitting a Pudsey bear to raffle at work for Children in Need, I'm making a pair of socks for mum and a scarf for my boss, a jelly baby for Beryl...the list goes on :D

I went to the yarn shop on Tuesday to get the Pudsey Bear pattern and it coincided with a Debbie Bliss book signing! I bought a copy of her 'Big Easy' book and she signed it for me, we had a long chat about lace knitting (both hate it) dogs (both love them) and general day to day happenings. We also bumped into an old neighbour of my grandparents, Jessie, who told me she was going to be 91 next week! wow! shes a great lady, love her to bits. Debbie Bliss was absolutely that, Bliss! I am going to start on the cowl neck dress pattern on the front cover soon.

I'm hoping that very soon, my twin sister Julia and I are going to get a few days together and visit Yorkshire, the Bronte Parsonage, Haworth, Castle Howard etc. I was watching Wuthering Heights this morning. <3 it so much. Julia's dad isn't too well at the moment, so we're seeing how things go. I'm booking a week off work anyway because I still have all my holidays to take. If we don't get away, I'll do something different....knit maybe ;) I've re-joined 'lovefilm' and so far I've watched Oz and James, Wodehouse Playhouse, a documentary about Egypt, and some more episodes of Lost. I watched a wonderful film called 'The Bishops Wife' that my friend Harry lent me, it start Cary Grant and David Niven. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Well, I hope you are all having a wonderful week, wherever you are, I am off to ring the computer people and complain!
